Where do you see our species going in the future? Is "building" humans through genetic modification the right thing to do?

Solutions

Expert Solution

ANSWER -

humans just like other species are evolving with time with respect to the surrounding enviornmental conditions.

in future, there are several chances that the human height will be reduced comparitively, some more visceral organs wil be formed in the body, human body will be more resisitant to the pollution levels and toxicity in the food.

these are few of the chages or adaptations one can say would emerge in the humans.

if we cosider , building up humans with the genetic engineering, it can have positive as well as negative effects, the positive effects is that there will be a cure of every disease a human encounter and can be treated with the help of inducing a gene of interest, and thus this makes that humans can be treated and can be cured. the negative thinga about this is that it is ethically not viable and it is against the law of nature, also this technology can be used for wrong purposes also, and can have very drastic effects along with the intervention of artificial intelligence.

hence, as everything have positive and negative, this technology also share it benefits and demerits.

Charles Darwin described evolution as "descent with modification." meaning that species change through time. A great deal of evidence indicates that life has evolved over time and continues to evolve. Natural selection is the primary mechanism by which evolution takes place. Part A - Scientific evidence supporting evolution Scientific evidence documents the pattern of evolution. The evidence exists in a variety of categories, including direct observation of evolutionary change, the fossil record, homology, and biogeography. Sort the following examples into...

Consider the simplified scenario for genetic determinants of height in humans, where there are three genes (A/B/C) with varying numbers of alleles (3/3/2) affecting height, and with different effects in males and females.
