Customer now more focusing on Quality food along with quality service and comfort which was buy and go earlier.
Best example is MC, Donald restaurant which was initially following Buy and go strategy where customer arrives, buy the product and move out. but now this type of service is now improved by adapting some visuals,graphics,music system ,cleanliness and other comfort which attract customer by these secondary services.
In future, food buying behavior of consumers depends on some common factors be like
1.Price : Food with good and competitive price will be in demand. as customer will like good quality food with affordable price. Food product with high price will only be the choice of upper class people while middle class people will prefer affordable and good quality food.
2.Quality of Food: Quality of food and service is most important, without which the food buying will not be on high scale.
3.Non Seasonal Availability : Foods which are dependent on season, but with the help of technology and improvements in agricultural techniques and other manufacturing techniques, it will be in more demand during its non seasonal time if made available.
4. Packaging : A good packing of a product attracts customer. Good & attractive packaging will lead to more buying of that product.
5. cleanliness/Freshness : Clean and fresh food are more desirable and customer only likes buying fresh and clean food material.
6.Variety: Food having variety of sub types are more in demand, as customer like more food having different types of flavors as same in chocolates and icecream.
