Ageusia :It is the condition that taste receptors of tongue not work,(or) loss of taste in tongue like salt, sweet,bitter, sour etc .it some times occur due to vitamin defiency.In these some times occur loss of sense of smell.

Cranial nerves like chordatympani nerve and the glossopharyngeal nerve are related to this conditon . The chordatympani nerve passes taste for the front two-thirds of the tongue and the glossopharyngeal nerve passes taste for the back third of the tongue.damage to this nerves can cause Ageusia........
