ust about everyone seems to be using some form of social media. That, of course, includes employees. Increasingly, employees' social media use is being monitored by their employers. Sometimes, employees are even being fired over their social media posts. Companies have a number of concerns about how their employees use social media. For one thing, they may worry about security problems, such as employees' posting unauthorized videos of company activities. In addition, they do not wish to have their clients discussed on employees' social media posts. Finally, some companies are concerned that certain posts may violate the law. For instance, if hospital employees discuss patients, they are not only disregarding hospital regulations, but also are violating the federal Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Should companies regularly monitor employee online behavior? Why or why not?
Answer : From my point of view, Company should on regular basis monitor there employee on- Line behaviour. As we know social media is a trend of new generation so the employer cannot deprive there employee on the useage of the social media. They only make check and provide a possible ways towards the useage of the social media such as :
CRUX : Employee should used social media but they have no right to give contravarsial or personal talk about the organisation. So, to avoid problem company should monitor there employee on-line behaviour.
