The most illicit stimulant drugs used in Saudi Arabia is amphetamine. Amphetamine is Central nervous stimulant and it is used to treat epilepsy and attention deficit hyperactivity syndrome.Stimulants are drugs that relieve mild depression, increases energy and reduce the fatigue.

Amphetamine activate the receptors in the brain (dopamine). Amphetamine is also used as a recreational drug. It reduces the fatigue,enhances the sociability , increase wakefulness,and also feel good drug. Amphetamine is a addictive drug with history of abuse. Illicit use of amphetamine has become a major health issue and is common among the college students.Fenethylline is a illicit drug which is marketed under captagon and is common in Arab countries.

The licit stimulant drugs are caffeine and Nicotine.

Caffeine is a stimulant drug and increase the alertness.It elevated mood and found in coffee,tea, chocolate and pain relievers.

Nicotine is commonly used stimulant and are naturally produced.Nicotine is a chemical found in cigarettes and highly addictive .
