CASE HISTORY OF PATIENT Z:
Ms Z, a 25-year-old female had consulted the nearest health centre due to fever for 3 days. This was accompanied by loss of appetite, fatigue, headache, abdominal pains and dizziness. Her vital signs are as follows: Temperature= 38.9Celsius (Normal Range Temperature: 36.5- 37.5C), Pulse Rate = 86 beats/ minute (Normal Range of Pulse Rate: 60-100 beats/minute), Respiratory Rate=20 cycles/minute (Normal Range: 12-20 cycles/minute) and Blood pressure =160/90mmHg (Normal Range: 120/80mmHg). Ms Z claims that she has lost weight due to fever and loss of appetite. She lives in a crowded community which is constantly submerged in water due to flood. This caused severe problems in sanitation and source of water supply. Laboratory tests and physical examination revealed Dengue Fever. Ms Z is extremely worried because she had a neighbour who is found positive of COVID 19 two days ago. In addition, she is concerned over financial expenses for her illness due to the community quarantine status in which she cannot report to her job as a crew at a fast-food chain.
