The knowledge of various areas is required to run a business such as knowledge of financial planning, marketing, time management, and leadership, etc. But out of all these areas, the most useful area is leadership. The leadership is the most important skill that a businessman is required to possess. In the absence of this skill, a businessman can never get success in his business.
Leadership may be defined as the ability to get the work done from others. It is one of the important attributes of a businessman or a manager. The proper implementation of the plan completely depends on the leadership qualities of the businessman. The leader provides the direction in which the work is required to be done to achieve the desired objectives. Leadership increases productivity by understanding the emotional requirements of the employees (Courtney, 2015).
Effect of leadership in business:
Leadership skills help in best utilization of the available resources by removing the various obstacles. The leader can ensure employee retention by continuously motivating them by creating a feeling of belongingness among them. Motivated employees would increase productivity and will ultimately contribute to the organization's success. Thus, leadership is the most useful area of knowledge required to run a business in an efficient manner.
