My question is "do you think that specialization of services is positive aspect of health care or do you feel that it has gotten too specific causing a person to have to see numerous physicians for an illness?
Do you see a trend towards more specialization or possibly back to the general practitioner within your area?
The scope of new diseases and health conditions in the world of healthacare is ever changing. Who would have thought within a century, we will discover, invent and develop so many health condition that no one would have ever thought in the past would exist. If we leave the rest of the world and just talk about United States, we will find that every day people are fighting a wide variety of health conditions and everyday a new situation arises which the healthcare professional has never come accross. In such circumstances, it is not rational to think that a person who studies 4-5 years of medical science would be able to fix all these issue by himself. That is why we need different professional who are proficient in specific areas and have an in-depth knowledge of that part. We know that health is something that should be a priority for everyone over the other things because if the health is good then only they would be able to achieve all the other things in life. So thinking that it has gotten too specific causing a person to have to see numerous physicians for an illness is just an irrational thought and specialization of services is actually a positive aspect of health care. With a more number of specialized healthcare professional we can see increase output and reduce medical errors in healthcares. With in my area, I can see more practitioner opting wide variety of specialization courses like onology, cardiology, dermatology, oncology, neurology and many others.
