Six values of quality in leadership:
Leadership is a process of social influence,which maximises the efforts of others,towards the achievement of goal.
Qualities of a great leader and it's values:
1)AUTHENTICITY:
It refers to the extent that one is true to their personality or spirit.Authenticity is so important because once you show that you are being true to yourself,people will see this and respect it.
2)INTEGRITY:
Integrity referes to ones personal commitment to their moral principles.Integrity in a leader will promote the culture of trust and commitment to you and your team.
3)Transparency:
A leader should be transparent to create trust within their direct circle of people.When a leader values transparency ,they make sure that everybody,among their team,understands the true reason why they are doing and what they are doing.
4)Respect:
A good leader has to respect each and every member of the team,whether it be through admiration or appreciation of their hardwork and skills.A leader with respect will gain the respect from others around them.
5)Great communication skills:
It is the most important quality of a good leader.Effective communication and effective leadership are closely interwined.A good leader has to think with clarity,express ideas and share information effectively.
6)Decesiveness:
Making a good decision and implementing it effectively makes a leader a better one.A good leader has to take the risk and responsibilty for all the decision which he makes.
A quality that resonates most with the public health leadership style is effective communication.
The effective communication between the public health leader and the other team members play a key role in the success of all health care programmes.
