Introduction -

"Skip the Dishes" are based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada since 2012 is an online food ordering company. With around 2000 employees and a revenue of $312 Mn, it does its business primarily in Canada.

SWOT analysis -

The Probable STRENGTH lies in the way the company does its business, it has a GPS tracking facility available for delivery purpose. With a clean and minimalistic application, it becomes easy and convenient for its user to use. A user can view his past order and re-order it which makes the usage hassle-free. The entire application uses familiar and tested concepts and terminology which provide core strength to the business. The location of business also proves to be in the favor of Skip the dishes and helps to generate a good revenue with the brand value of Just Eat (parent company) also adds to its market value in terms of strength.

WEAKNESS

The GPS tracking lags at some point when the delivery personal moves to the wrong way. The application must have a proper sorting option. They have poor performance in-order delivery with poor customer ratings. Also, there is no concrete and quick action taken to readdress the customer issue.

OPPORTUNITY

They can expand globally with a better management framework, to have more range of food options along with a range of users that can add more value to the business. They can add features like free delivery to a certain range, certain locations, referrals, discounts etc which could probably enhance their business. A lot more investments in innovation and with a clear app user experience.

THREATS

Surely they are not the only ones into food ordering business plus they should keep an eye on the time they take corrective action plan. With more time to address the issue can surely drive them out of the business. They must focus on the user experience rather thinking of just profit/loss.
