1.Clinical Leadership is a fundamental skill that allows healthcare providers to deliver high quality care and to ensure the safety of the patients. Leadership role for nurses in clinics is considered to be highly crucial to inspire and influence others to contribute to the attainment of client-centered care.

My preferred style of leadership is, transformational leadership and the reason is, here the leader's behaviour influence the team members to perform beyond their perceived capabilities and it also inspires them to achieve remarkable results. It helps to tender professional nursing care to people of all ages in the best possible manner.

Role of nurse manager:-

  • Manage changing health care settings:- Nurse manager requires to be flexible and broad- minded to make collaboration with newly arising challenges and emerging trends in health care settings.
  • Managing resources wisely:- The nurse manager must quickly determine to utilize the resources in a health care settings with the resources available within the time frame.
  • Quality care:- The nurse manager is constantly concerned with the quality of care that is being delivered on her unit.
  • Establishes objectives and goals:- Develope cohesiveness and delineates objectives and goals.
  • Organizes analysis and divide work:- The nurse manager organizes, analysis and evaluates daily activities and make sound decisions about dividing work.
  • Develops people, including self:- Nurse manager conducts staff delvelopment and various education programmes.Inorder to help new nurses or employees to meet their own professional development, the skills that are to be applied are:- Appropriate division of work according to the capabilities of staff, Proper communication and motivation in providing direction, Stressing the importance of being a good team player, Appraisal to the staff members for their performance. Eg:- Educational programmes can develop the confidence of staff members with the varing trends in health care settings.

3. Millennials are individuals who have age between 23 and 38.

Millennials nurses are found to be often engaged in virtual world than with people. They are often found to be only interested in providing medication administration and not in basic care. Most millennials are not interested in furthering their carriers and found to be switching carriers any time. At times they donot seems to be focused on getting more education, instead they just wanted to do less work. The advent of technology had opened so many opportunities and carrier options but millennials are not utilizing it properly. They definitely have greater opportunities in establishing patient centered quality care.
