Functions of cell wall ÷

1.  It maintain the shape of the cell.

2.  It provide protection against injuries .

3.  It regulates the osmotic pressure of the cell.

4.  Materials can pass through it because of its permeable nature.

5. The cell wall  helps cell in various harsh conditions.

Animal cell In the animal cell, cell wall is absent. They are irregular in shape, centrioles are small and present. Vacuoles are usually not present in animal cells.Chloroplast and plastids is absent in animal cell. It also contains cytoplasm, ribosomes, mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum. flagella is present only in few cells.
