Animal cell

In the animal cell, cell wall is absent. They are irregular in shape, centrioles are small and present. Vacuoles are usually not present in animal cells.Chloroplast and plastids is absent in animal cell. It also contains cytoplasm, ribosomes, mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum. flagella is present only in few cells. Animal cell are smaller than plant cell in size. They store energy in the form of carbohydrates.

Plant cell

It contains mitochondria and chloroplast since it carries out photosynthesis. The plant cell is rectangular in shape and contains cell wall. It has one large central vacuole. Most of the membrane bound organelles like nucleus, mitochondria, ribosome, endoplasmic reticulum, golgi apparatus are present. However, cilia and lysozymes are absent in plants cell. The plant cell store energy in the form of starch. The plant cell are larger than animal cell in size.

For animal cell

Cheek cell is tge best animal cell we could get easily and can observe clearly

Methodology

1.take ca clean cotton swab or toothpick and gently scrape the inner cheek.

2.smear the cells obtained into a glass slide.

3. Add a drop of methylene blue solution and place a cover slip using needle or brush by avoiding airbubbles.

4. Remove excess stain with a tissue.

5. Place the slide on microscope and observe under low magnification. Then change it to higher magnification after finding the best cell.

For plant cell

The best plant cell to be observed is onion cells.

Methodology

1. To get Onion cell just peel off the inner membrane of onion bulb using tweezers.

2.place the membrane to the middle of glass slide after placing a drop of water. This will help to flatten the membrane.

3. Add a drop of methylene blue solution and place a cover slip using needle or brush by avoiding airbubbles.

4. Remove excess stain and water with a tissue paper .

5. Observe the slide under low magnification . Then change it to higher magnification after finding the best cell.

The methodology is the systematic, theoretical analysis of the methods applied to a field of study. It comprises the theoretical analysis of the body of methods and principles associated with a branch of knowledge. Research methodology is the specific procedures or techniques used to identify, select, process, and analyze information about a topic. In a research paper, the methodology section allows the reader to critically evaluate a study's overall validity and reliability.

Expert Solution

Cheek cells are animal cell and example of eukaryotic cell.It contain nucleus and and other membrane bounded organelles and easily shed from the mouth lining so its easy to obtain for observation.Using methylne bue,as a stain it clearly observe and differentiate the different parts of a cell.because stain will color some parts of cell and not others.Methylene blue has a high affinity for both DNA and RNA.The nucleus at the central part of the cheek cell contains DNA show much darker than other parts of the cell.Cytoplasm looks lightly stain.Once the cells observe at low magnification after the cells have been found, they can then be viewed at higher magnification.Animal cells are usually irregular in shape. They do not have a cell wall.

Onion cells are plant cell.It is also a example of eukaryotic cell. The three major components of a cell are the cell membrane, cytoplasm and nucleus. In a plant cell, cell wall surrounds the cell membrane. These cell are rectangular, lie close to each other with intercellular space. These cells have dark stained nucleus and a large vacuole in the centre.

Application of the A&P of the Animal & Plant Cell: Relate the structures of the cell (animal or plant) to parts of some other concrete or abstract structure and explain how each structure connects. Example: Gas to a car is to the mitochondria of the cell. Explanation: Without gas a car would have no means of energy for power to move. Just as the mitochondria "powerhouse" provides energy for the cell. * Whatever structure chosen to compare the cell to...
