Expert Solution

Project constraints are mainly the restrictions which provides limitations to a project. Project manager have to manage all the project constraints related to a project.

Some of the project constraints are -

  • Cost - it includes all the cost related to s project like cost related to the sponsorship of the project and budget of the project. It determines the expectations from the project hence it is on of the common project constraints.
  • Scope - scope of a project include those needs that should be get completed by the project.
  • Quality - quality of a project is one of its common project constraints.
  • Customers satisfaction - satisfaction of the customers by the project is very much important as the overall project got designed in order to fulfill their needs and demand. Customers satisfaction is very much important, if it didn't occur than it also become a project constraints.
  • Risk - risk is one of the most critical project constraints.
  • Resources - resources are the basic needs of all the projects so it's fulfilment is most important. If scarcity of project occur then overall project got highly disturb. So it is also a major project constraints.
  • Time - completion of project within the given deadlines by the sponsors is very much important.

All the aspects of a project constraints need to be clearly and positively improved and taken care of.

For example - approval of senior executive is needed in order to work further for the project. It include the approval which should be needed, so it is a project constraints.
