1) Why would hear bronchial breath sounds in the periphery of the lungs?
2) Name the 3 types of gas flow.
1)bronchial sound is the high pitched sound heard over the large airway, anterior chest wall near to 2nd and 3rd intercostal space. If bronchial breath sounds are hearing over lung periphery it is due to consolidation of lung in the case of pneumonia or compression of lungs. Bronchial breath sounds is abnormal in lung periphery .
2)Types of gas flow
I) TURBULANT AIR FLOW
It is disorganized and disordered in nature. Turbulence is mainly worked by density more than viscosity .in this flow magnitude and direction of air flow is fluctuate .
II) LAMINAR FLOW
Laminar flow is present in small air ways and is directly proportional to driving force, it is silent in nature, it never cause breath sounds. In laminar flow air possess triggers smooth and regular surface .
III) TRANSITIONAL AIR FLOW
In this flow air passes from the circular orifices to wide channel. It is mainly occurs at 15th and 13th generation of bronchial tree.
