article 2 of the rights under the convention of the rights of the child talks about the rights of a child to be free from discrimination.in your own words, what does this mean in your role of an early childhood educator?
The role of an early childhood educator is to help with nursing and instructions to the children in the very basic aspects of formal education. According to Article 2 of UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, the rights of the child talks about the rights of a child to be free from discrimination. This is the most fundamental form and initial stage where the child should be free from the early stages be treated and explained in order that it does not discriminate on the basis of opinions, beliefs, societal status of the parent/family or gardian. As an an early childhood educator role the child is taken care of and treated just like all the kids without discrimination or making the child in any way feel that he/she is treated in a different manner. This would help building of a socially open, welcoming and non-discriminatory behaviour in the child from initial stages. The discrimination that an adult feels and faces stem from long years that have their seeds sown in childhood and of the an early childhood educator helps with making an atmosphere and teaching which is free from discrimiantion, we can have an egalitarian society and a peaceful adult. Hence the role is to keep the child and the teaching, enrvironment around, methods, commnication to child be kept by the childhood educator unbaised, understanding and egalitaraina as much possible.
