Mental illnesses affect the entire life of the client as well as the family.Hence a team of health workers should be involved in the management of mental illnesses

Team should include

1)Psychiatrist

Psychiatrist will direct the team members and treat both mental and physical illnesses which are causative ,co existing or secondary.

2)Nurse

By creating the therapeutic environment, nurse helps the client to return back to the near normal functioning state in the shortest possible time.

3)Psychiatric technicians, mental health workers and human service workers provide the large proportion of daily care needs of the client

4)Psychologists provide testing, counseling and therapy

5)Recreation therapists and music therapists provide personal growth activities

6)Occupational therapist instructs clients in ADL, some crafts and other occupational skills

7)Vocational rehabilitation and veterans services

8)Chaplains provide spiritual counseling and support

9)Many other medical and paramedical specialists are also involved
