Good management wants to contribute not only to the efficiency of business processes but also wants to improve the performance of each and every employee working towards the goal of the organisation. So there are framedd different management practices which focus on its key are of emergence . Management by Exception(MBE) is one of the style of business management developed over the passage of time which identifies the variation/deviation from the rules, regulations, principles set by the company or its industry or law framed within its country.

MBE provides you with a specific type of framework that guides the way your management goes about planning, organizing, and controlling, i.e. the core management functions. It provides a set of processes and principles you choose to follow and implement in your management.

The second point to know is about the core idea influencing the principles. The principles are built around the concept of ‘exception’. This means the focus of the manager is on things deviating from the norm. As a manager, his/her attention will be on noticing the things that are not quite right – the things deviating from the norm, i.e. the exceptions. These deviations are examined in the various operational, and especially financial areas of the business.

While there is another business principle called "Management by Objective". It is a systematic and organized approach which aims to align and convert individual goals into organisational goals within the available resources. It intends to improve communication among different levels of management thereby focusing on organisational goals more effectively.

Finally, it is concluded that the different business practices are followed keeping in mind the differeent purposes to achieve, whether it may be short term or long term, for the benefit of its stakeholders(not shareholders only)
