A project manager is ultimately responsible for the planning and execution of the various phases and activities associated with a project. One of the primary documents a project manager uses to capture and document the specifics of a project is the Project Management Plan (PMP). Use the quality assurance plan template provided here, and provide a detailed paragraph of 100-150 words for each of the elements in the template, addressing the key concepts discussed in your textbook and other sources you may locate by using the CSU Online Library. Save your document, and submit for grading. In Unit VII, the quality assurance plan you created in this unit will be integrated into Section 3.1.6 of the IT Project Management Plan (PMP) template; the PMP template is located in the instructions for the Unit VII Final Project. A project manager is responsible for all the project activities. He is considered to be the most important actor of the project management plan (PMP). The main objectives of a PMP can be understoop from the below diagram :

Thus in project management, all the activities from staffing, requirement analysis to on time delivery and bugeting are covered.

Though the quality assurance plan template is missing from the question, I am assuming one template for the same consisting the below points :

1. Introduction : A quality assurance plan is a document, developed and managed by the project team, meant to ensure the deliverables are of the utmost quality. A quality assurance plan consists of a set of documented activities used to ensure for customer satisfaction with the services of a firm. The main activities of a Quality assurance plan can be given by PDCA cycle.There are four processes are: Plan, Do, Check, and Act. The quality assurance plan is used to define objectives, roles and responsibilities, and define tasks and the schedule.

2. Scope : When the contract is finalised, the life of the PMQP starts and will continue until the full project is completed all of its obligations under the contract.

The PMQP(Project management quality plan) will define the relationship in terms of:

  • Organisation and planning
  • Monitoring the progress
  • Timely Reviews;
  • Change Management;
  • Risk Management;
  • Deliverable Products;
  • Roles and Responsibilities.

3. Project Description : It will contain the description about the project.

4. Deliverables : The deliverables of the projecrt should be present in this section. We can use the below format for this also :

5. Test cases : The test cases will be placed here for different type of testing done by various teams or individuals. The result and proper evidence should also be maintained in this section. The testing team, their responsibility and the components tested by them should be mentioned here.

6. Delivery notes : The delivery notes should contain the delivery information and the standard operating procedures for the componets being delivered. The delivery notes shouls be properly reviewed before mentioning here.

7. Document Control and Sign-off : The document control will contain the documnet version, the document author, reference, control, date,etc and sign off section will have the details about the reviewer details who signed off the document
