Delegation; generally involves assignment of the performance of activities or tasks related to patient care to unlicensed assistive personnel while retaining accountability for the outcome. The registered nurse cannot delegate responsibilities related to making nursing judgment.

The five delegation serve to guide appropriate transfer o f responsibility for the performance of an activity or task to another person. These rights are defined as having the right task ,right circumstance ,right person, right direction/ communication, and right supervision/ evaluation.

Critical thinking in nursing is a purpose full logical process which results in powerful patient outcomes.. The critical thinking nurse has an open mind and draws heavily upon evidence based research and past clinical experiences to solve patient problem.

Five discrete types of nursing knowledge that nurse use in practice emerged: personal practice knowledge, theoretical knowledge, procedural knowledge, ward cultural knowledge and reflexive knowledge.

Communication: information can be conveyed to patients in a rote and robotic manner without regard for patients feelings or their families concern or it can be conveyed with compassion clarity and contextual understanding of how a patient and their loved ones might best internalize key information.

Nurses act the hub communication relaying and interpreting information between physicians caregivers family members and patients.the ability to establish effective communication in nursing is impertive to providing the best care and patient outcomes possible.

Prioritization: NULEX contains many patient care questions related to prioritization of nursing care .The nurse should plan care to meet physiological needs first ,followed by safety needs love and belonging needs and so on .As a test taker you can use Maslows hierarchy of needs to help you decide which to choose.
