In your own words, why do so many at-risk people not get tested for HIV? Who should get tested? What are some legitimate reasons for not being tested? What would students do if they were tested and found to be positive: who would they tell, what would they feel, what would they do about treatment, how would their family react, and how would their sexual partner(s) react?
HIV is a dangerous disease that is usually transmitted through sexual activity or by shared needles. This is a widespreading problem in todays work where 60% is spread through women due to vaginal intercourse. Anybody could be at the risk of this and needs to get checked. Although it is important for a person to get checked regularly they sometimes hesitate to do so. Some of the reasons could be for the simple fact that they just would not want to know the results. SOmetimes when a peron is aware of the outcome they thing by avoiding the process they could change the outcome. This is could actually result in more gruesome processes. The next reason why could be that they do not think it is really important as checking other parts of the body and doing other tests. the dont prioritise this taking this very lightly which could be dangerous in the future. Another reason could be that the person believes he wont not get it. If a person is in a committed relationship they think that they are unlikely to be found positive their avoid it but the truth is they are unsure of what their partner has been upto even though they are in that belief. It is always safer ot to assume and to just get checked.
If a person is sexually active and has had more than a partner it is always saf to get tested.Even if a person has been injected or shared a needle with someone it is safe to get him/her tested. In coclusion it is important and vital for almost everyone to get tested for a safer experience. There are no reasons as to why someone be nottested. Everyone can be legally tested aslong as they have given consent to the following testing then it cannot be hindered.
In todays world the numbers of HIV is drastically increasing and therefore everyone needs to be safe. Students are at a risk of gaining HIV as well. If a student were to be shown HIV positive it is important for them to know thatthey arenot alone and they made the right decsion to get it checked. They are to look at the next step of stopping and treating the problem. They would definetely feel very low and misguided but they ,ust not give up but focus on doing the treatment right. Therefore it is so important that they confide this information in only the people that they trst and that are close to them. They could only tell their family about it even though they would be outraged initially the family is always there to support and thats the best kind of support. If they tell others about this then and they spread the information it would degrade the person although they are not alone. They would feel even more lonely.
Treatment had been advanced over the years which is a benefit. The first and foremost treatment is Antiretroviral therapy (ART). People on ART take a combination of HIV medicines (called an HIV regimen) every day. ART is recommended for everyone infected with HIV. ART can’t cure HIV, but HIV medicines help people with HIV live longer, healthier lives. ART also reduces the risk of HIV transmission
