Nurses in the community service are highly insisted to maintain and follow the professional and personal boundaries during their practice. As a professional should provide professional and therapeutic care . Following this can minimise and prevent unnecessary conflics when a care is delivered to patient in the community. Being knowledgeable and skillful helps the nurse to gain respect and dignity. This can encourage the patient to approach nurse only for medical help and not beyond it. The nurse are not supposed to reveal any personal information nor try to gather the most personal information of the patient for personal reasons. Doing so can be crossing the personal boundaries in the work and lead to misconduct and even legal issues.
This can impact the interpersonal violence by preventing and reducing the conflicts between two members or between the nurse and the community people.
