Solutions

Expert Solution

1. Available dosage: 25000 units/250 ml = 100 units / ml

Ordered dosage: 2000 units/hour

Formula: ordered dosage / available dosage

= 2000 / 100 = 20 ml / hour

Answer: ml/ min= 20ml / 60mins = 0.33 ml/min

2. Available dosage: 5000 units / ml

Weight: 85 kg

Ordered dosage: 75 units / kg = 75*85= 6375 units

Formula: ordered dosage/ available dosage

Answer = 6375 / 5000 = 1.275 ml

3. Available dosage: 25000 units / 500 ml = 50 units / ml

Weight: 85 kg

Ordered dosage: 18 units/kg/hr=18*85=1530 units/hr

Formula: ordered dosage / available dosage

Answer: 1530 / 50 = 30.6 ml / hour
