1.Describe Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences, including the distinct types of intelligence that characterize different forms of intelligent behavior.
This theory states that the schools that we are studying or the major institutions only concentrate on the linguistic or the logical form of intelligence, whereas intelligence is a compilation of more than these forms. Every artist or person has some attribute of their intelligence that fall beyond the category of logical reasoning.
Verbal linguistic intelligence: where a person will be learning through the words that are being spoken.
Mathematical intelligence: where a person would learn through reasoning.
Musical: where a person learns through patterns of recognition or songs or rhythms
Visual spatial: is where a person would be learning through the images
Interpersonal: where a person would be learning through the interactions that he does with others.m
Intrapersonal: is where interaction would be through feelings and values.m
Existential m where a person learns through what he visualises to be a greater picture.
Naturalists where a person would learn through various heirarcheis.m
2.Discuss and explain brain hemisphere and language. Be sure to include discussion of Broca’s and Wernicke’s Area. Detail the information discussed in the provided videos.
Language processing occurs mainly through the dominant hemisphere of the brain in order to communicate ideas or feelings and to process what is being communicated. The two major areas where language processing occurs is the Wernicke’s area and broca’s area. These both structures are present in the dominant hemisphere and is the reason that language is considered as a lateralised and a localised function. Wernicke’s area is present in the superior temporal gyrus posterior section. Some of the branches extend towards the lateral sulcus that is present in the parietal lobe. This is present between the auditory cortex as well as the visual cortex present in the temporal lobe and the occipital lobe. This helps in ambiguous words comprehension along with receptive speech. Broca’s area formed by pars triangularis as well as the pars opercularis, present in the inferior frontal gyrus. This follows the Wernicke’s area and these are generally located in the brain left hemisphere. This area is involved in speech production due to being close to the motor cortex, and signals are sent to the larynx, tongue and the mouth motor areas.
3.Describe at least four personality traits and a predicted behavior.
Four personality types are:
Sanguine: people who are active, enthusiasts well as social
Choleric: people who are fast, short tempered
Melancholic: people who are wise, analytical and quite
Phlegmatic: people who are relaxed as well as peaceful.
