An industrial hygienist can use toxicology data to perform a risk assessment for an occupational chemical exposure by collecting all the data pertaining to the level of toxicology of different chemicals used in varied occupations which pose potential hazard or damage to the employees working in those occupations. The level of toxicoloy of these chemicals can then be used to ascertain the riskiness of these chemicals for the employees and their side effects due to continuous exposure of these chemicals on the employees. This risk assessment can then be captured in a report format and then used for issuing safety guidelines to all the employees who are exposed to different chemicals based on the level of riskiness of these chemicals. These safety guidelines have to be properly implemented and governed by the managers of these employees and proper precautions must be taken by the employees and managers to ensure that guidelines and safety measures are properly followed and tracked.
