Potential organisms and biological products for bioterrorism

In today's modern and rapidly changing world, as the medical assistance is progressing day by day, so is a new form of terrorism sprawling its legs which is bioterrorism.

Our world has already faced two world wars and thinkers and philosophers have already predicted that the new world war would not be fought with weapons but biological agents causing harm.

Bioterrorism is not new for our world. We have seen Anthrax, plague, Botulism and the recent Coronavirus attack is believed to be a bioterrorist attack.

Bioterrorism can be caused by biological agents of high virulism, resistant to available antibiotics etc.

The British gave the Native Americans blankets used by small pox victims to disseminate their population. The microorganisms like virus, bacteria and protozoans are the potential bioterrorism agents as they incur low costs to be transmitted and have easy transmission modes.

As we have developed antiobiotics for most of the bacterias, high virulence viruses are the new threat. As bio-engineering is possible today, many pathogenic viruses are being generically reconstructed to make them highly pathogenic.
