OSTEOPOROSIS :-
Osteoporosis is a disease in which weakening of the bone increases the risk of a bone towards breakage.the different stages of the osteoporosis are as follows :-
1- leaching of the bone mineral density at the age of 30-35 .
2- 35 -45 age - here the bone mineral density starts deteriorating at the rate of 2% per year .
3- 45-55 age- bone mineral density loss will be 30 % .
4- 55+ - further age - The softening of the bones and accumulated fragility fractures and hence deformity is visible in the body of the individual
DIABETES MELLITUS
Diabetes mellitus is a disease in which the body’s impaired ability to produce insulin results in elevated levels of glucose in the blood. There are five stages of the progression of the diabetes :-
Stage 1 :- Increase in insulin secretion so as to maintain normoglycemia in the face of insulin resistance.
Stage 2:- glucose levels reach ∼5.0–6.5 mmol/l; this shows the loss of β-cell mass.
Stage 3 :- More severe β-cell loss takes place.
Stage 4:- High reduction in β-cell leading to ketosis.
