Hey Jude,
Hope you are doing great. It's been quite long since I heard of you. So just wanted to do a rain check. Honestly I hve been quite confused these days and just wanted to share some of my early days experiences to you since you have just entered the pathway I have walked on for so many years .
The other day I was thinking about what would I advise the younger me if I got a chance to get into a real time machine and meet him. But since science hasn't progressed that much I thought to drop out that idea and hence I am here writing this letter to you. I know life is pretty much full of hustle and multiple decisions to be made. Just wanted to help you out with that. This age , this feeling of being independent is just like childhood of a person. You start earning , you feel you can own everything in the world, you walk with so many dreams and want to have all the fun around. You definitely should do all of that but always remember a few things. First of all never miss out on the savings part because you know they say money makes money. Cliche but true. Money does make money but you mostly need it for emergency situations , to keep your independent feeling alive even when you go through tough times ahead. On the other hand , never ever compromise the thing you love doing the most. To be successful the ultimate mantra is to find a job that gives you happiness and not the one that makes money. Money should be a secondary factor at your age. Your age is about exploring all the possible things you are good at and convert them , nourish them to lead to a successful and happy pathway. Don't ever compromise your personal life for your professional benefits, these two should go on simultaneously else the happiness part will vanish soon , son.
Hope you will do great in your life and great is not always monetary.
Take care
Yours
Uncle Joe
