Briefly describe a method you would use to identify your personal performance in the workplace in terms of feedback from others (in 30-50 words each).
The reviewing work performance in the work place ( Clinics or hospitals) and providing feedback to te staff of that particular workplace , These are stressing on the importance of creating consistent and the fair performance reviews.. But if we ' ve never provided our staff with formal performance reviews , then we may not know our option for doing so, There are the five common performance review methods;-
Self evaluation
A self evaluation requires an employee to judge a one's own performance against the predetermined criteria.Usually the self evaluation is takeb into consideration during an official performance review to allow for a more thorough discussion and to ensure employees understand how they will be judged.The self evaluation may be too subjectives to truly reflect work performance , as employees may rate themselves too high _ or too low - but the discrepancies between employee and employer evaluation can be insightful.
Behavioral checklist
The behavioral checklist is exactly what it sounds like ; a checklist of behaviors an employee must exhibht to be considered a valuable member of the team - and thus , to recieve a favorable review ,To complete the evaluation , teh employer responds to a list of carefully worded yes - or - no questions , each of which may be weighted with a predetermined value.
360 - Degree feedback
a 360 -degree feedback review provides a comprehensive look at an employee's work performance and technical skill set , but this review method also includes feedback from the peers , direct reports , nondirect supervisiors and with whom the employee works regularly ,
Management by objectives
The management by objectives (MBO) performance appraisal method it is a more modern approach to the performance reviews , because as it ropes the employes into the goal setting process , With this method the manger and his or her employee will 'agree upon the specific , obtainble objectives with a set deadline " .
Rating Scale
A rating scale or we say grading scale is the probably the most commonly used performanace review method . This method is based on a set of employer developed criteria which further can include behaviors,triats , competencies or the completed projects - against which employees are judged The employer assigns each criterion a numerical value , which is usually on a ten or five point scale.
