Job satisfaction is the degree to which individuals likes their job .Some people enjoy work and find it to be central part of life .Job satisfaction is the most frequently measured organisational variable in both research and applied settings.There are multiple reasons for interest in this work attitude.

The most used research defenition of job satisfaction by Lockie who defined it as a pleasurable or positive emotional state resulting from the appraisal of one's job or job experiences.

1.Job satisfaction is an emotional response to a job situation .As such it cannot be seen ,it can only be inferred.

2.Job satisfaction is the extent to which the working enviornment meets the needs and expectation of employees.It is a result of employees perception.

3.Job satisfaction is the evaluation of the job and the organisation that shows up in the significant work behaviours such as productivity,absenteeism,turnover,work place deviance ,organisational citizenship and so forth.

Job satisfaction can  thus be understood as an important job attitude.As an attitude it has three elements .

Affective ,cognitive and behavioural .The affective component is the emotional response to the job situation and is reflected in the statement ''I feel good about my job.''The cognitive element is the appraisal on the extent to which the job fulfills the important needs associated with one's work.It is illustrated in the statement ,my job helps me to achieve my goals .The behavioural component is the intension to engage in specific behaviours as manifested in productivity ,absenteeism ,turnover and forms of organisational citizenship.It is reflected in the statement I want to give my best on the job .

The extent to which  employee like or dislike their job has important conseqauences for work place conduct.Feelings of satisfaction or dissatisfaction with one's job can be a predictor of productivity ,Organisation citizenship ,withdrawal and other work behaviours .Low job satisfaction produces EVLN model (Exit ,Voice ,loyalty neglect )The exit response refers to leaving the organisation ,transferring to another working unit or atleast trying to make these exits.

Voice -The voice response involves actively attempting to change .rather than escaping from dissatisfying conditions.

Loyalty -Loyalty responds includes optimistically waiting for improvement and trusting the organisation and its management to resolve the problem.

Neglect -The neglect response involves passively ignoring or withdrawing effort and allowing conditions worsen.

The pandemic conditions affected by this pandemic conditions because as a psychologist I have to spent a defenite time personally with my client .Especially some of the therapies also limited as a part of social distensing ,but it is necessary for the maintanance of good public health .
