Ans. Self-assessment is the process for looking at oneself to assess self-efficiency & identity performance towards the workplace. Self assessment is necessary to evaluate own personal performance at workplace before your boss or supervisor does for self-verification.
1. Assess performance against your Job Specifications:- You have to assess for your job specification and about what is good and bad about your performance at workplace with kept in mind what the supervisor thinks is good and bad. You can do this by using the checklist also.
2. Get Feedback From Others or peer evaluation:- Getting feedback about your performance from other at workplace is very important method for your self-evaluation. So for that you can approach someone in the organization that is doing a good job and is well respected or someone from a different department
3. Be Reflective:- You have to Get in the habit of reflecting on your own performance. For that every week you have to set and write job-related goals for yourself, that helps to clarify your thoughts. Then at the end of that week, view your goals accomplished or not.
4. Self-assessment checklists :- You can make a checklist against your job specification or job description and do your own assessment about your performance.
