What goes into the program implementation assessment level and why? is it crucial to the success of a program?
Program implementation refers to how well a proposed program or intervention is put into practice.
Programme implementation evaluation determines whether program activities have been implemented as intended. Outcome evaluation measures program effects in the target population by assessing whether the objectives were achieved or not . Yes ,program implementation assessment or evaluation is a crucial step to the success of the programme because the success is totally dependent on how the programme was carried out . If it was not up to the mark ,the goals wouldn't be met and having a program evaluation helps to know any loopholes or drawbacks in the process of implementation programs hence helps to do the modification before we present it to the general public
There are three main types of program evaluation methods :-
Planning - is performed prior to development of a given exhibit or program
Formative - takes place during the actual development of an exhibit
Summative - is the most common and formal of the evaluation types, particularly because it is often required from those funding the exhibit. It is done after an exhibit is installed for the general population .
The steps in programme evaluation are :-
Step 1: Define your stakeholders.
Step 2: Describe the program.
Step 3: Focus the design of your evaluation.
Step 4: Gather evidence.
Step 5: Draw conclusions.
Step 6: Present findings and ensure use.
