Expert Solution

FDA should regulate the importation of prescription drugs as it will help patients to get the quality of the drugs on par with the domestic alternatives as well as reduced cost of healthcare will take place. Further, the FDA regulations will not only help raise the quality and standard procedure of the drug preparation, but also it will put pressure upon the domestic manufacturers to reduce the price of the health care. Besides, the illegal import of the drugs and resulting black marketing will be prevented. FDA can do it in collaboration with the Affordable & Safe prescription drug importation act that allows people to buy or import the necessary prescription drugs as per the guidelines and health and human services in the USA.
