  2. Assume yourself to be a nurse leader who holds a leadership nursing position in an organization who have direct reports (who supervise other employees). Examples of this include the Director of Nursing, Director, Unit Manager. Answer questions regarding their professional role in the organization, and a current health care issue that is of interest to you (ethics, conflict management, budget, staffing, a culture of safety, “just culture”, career advancement, quality improvement, etc.).
    1. Prepare a written report of the questions. Feel free to vary the content of the questions to fit your essay   Questions may look like as follows:
    • Please define the nursing and inter-professional teams that function in this facility/ unit?
    • Please provide an example of a nursing practice that has been changed in the last year based on current best practice.
    • What do you consider to be your biggest challenge?
    • What do you love most about this job?
    • Why did you choose this job?
    • What other nursing departments have you worked/or other jobs did you ever do?
    • How would you define your company’s culture?
    • How would you describe your role in hiring and staffing decisions?

DEFINITION

A) NURSE :Licensed health care professionals who work individually and supervised by physicians.

Director of Nursing:It is a registered nurse who supervisors the care of the patients and is responsible for communicating between nurses and physicians.

Director : person in charge and gives guidance and leadership on use of medicine.

Unit manager: responsibe for overseeing patient health care on a day to day basis. Supervise and directs and makes sure that director of nurses ensures proper patient care.

B) Nurses before were not given the opportunity to report ADRs where as now nurses are given the opportunity to repot it to health care organizations.

C) As a nurse, i believe the biggest challenge is to cope up with the stress in the work environment and to balance personal and work life as heavy night shifts can be exhausting and that affects the active life as most of the time will be spent sleeping.

D) A feeling of satisfaction and joy that i have helped another person today.
