Has General Electric company recognized benefit in cost from a sustainability strategy?

GE may not have recognized benifit directly but certainly their efforts bring in many indirect cost savings resulting in benifits. Some notable examples are:

• Through startup Current, they launched a new business model to accelerate the adoption of energy saving solutions. • Through Ecomagination, they have launched outcome-focused partnerships with other like-minded companies to solve global challenges around energy, efficiency, GHG emissions and water. Ecomagination is GE’s growth strategy to enhance resource productivity and reduce environmental impact on a global scale through commercial solutions for thier customers and in own operation
• In 2015, GE renewables announced the world’s first Digital Wind Farm, a dynamic, connected and adaptable wind energy ecosystem that pairs world-class turbines with the digital infrastructure for the wind industry. The technology boosts a wind farm’s energy production by up to 20% and with digital technology supports a more seamless integration of wind energy into the grid.
