Expert Solution

Answer 1. SUT is the a healthcare implementation announcement which was created as a legislation in 2007 by the institute of Social Security. Its purpose of work is to rule out the prices for medical products and the fee for bk medical services. The reimbursement procedure of fees is corrected under this legislation.

Answer 2. The blood products are the parts of blood like, RBC's, platelets, Serum, etc. These products when are collected from donor and then packed with proper labelled information (showing the type of product, date and time, etc) are called blood product prescription. They are further used in transfusion processes. The key points for this are :-

. While prescribing the blood product, correct information or labelling should be done in clear senses with keeping in mind the potential complications of any mistake.

. The blood products can be collected on whole and also in separate forms. So, clear management should be done for their further transfusion processes.

. The main aspect to be mentioned on the product firstly should be about whether it is an ABO type or Rhesus type, beacuse these are the two main categories.

Answer 3. The reimbursement procedure in healthcare system is generated by using CPT codes which informs the insurance payer that for what reason the patient wants reimbursement. So like that, there is the reimbursement code for blood transfusion also.

The hospitals generally do not charge for the blood transfusion if the blood was procured from the blood bank but if the administration has to buy it, then the patient has to pay for its first 3 units or donate blood. Also, the insurance policy says that for the inpatient cases, the same amount for full transfusion process will be payed after the consent of doctors who treated it. But for outpatients consent for only first three units in the calendar year are counted.
