You have conducted Community Needs Assessment (Community Diagnosis) in Sunyani West District. After prioritizing the problems with the community members, high HIV prevalence rate of 2.5% became a priority health problem in the community. You went further to conduct Knowledge, Attitude and Practice (KAP) study on HIV/AIDS in the district. Now you intend to prepare a one-year Health Promotion Programme to tackle the problem. As part of the planning process and based on some assumptions of findings in your KAP study - a. write a smart programme objective on the HIV/AIDS problem in the district. b. write four (4) smart Health Promotion objectives. At least one of the four objectives that you set must come from the cognitive, affective and psychomotive domains of learning. c. list five (5) activities you would implement in this programme. d. list five (5) performance indicators you would use to monitor this programme.

- To explore epidemiological distribution and determinants of HIV/AIDS .
To review the mile stone of AIDS OR HIV .

To explore the control method of AIDS which include how to control AIDS.
* Health promotion objectives =
- For increase the health of AIDS patient we should prevent the opportunistic infections.
- Immunized the patient - All patient should receive pneumococcal pneumonia vaccine and it should be repeated in patient who have CD4 count less then 200/mm3 and also immunized Influenza, Tetanus booster and Hepatitis BETC.
- Provide the supportive care to the patient for promotion of health .
- Educate the healthy lifestyle.
- Assessment and management of pain,
- Evaluate and management of psychological and social aspects of HIV infection.
- All patient should be screened for tuberculosis every year.
* Activities related to cognative and psychomotive domains of learning =
- Resolve the confusion related to infections effects and adverse effects of medicine.
- Hopelessness related to chronic illness, sense of loss of control, depression associated with AIDS.
- Decrease the pain level related to disease conditon.
- Reduce the fear related to illness condition and allow to patient for use some degree of denial as a protevtive mechanism.
*Performance indicators for use to monitor the AIDS control programme =
- Quality management in blood transfusion services.
- Maintain the standard precaution during screening the patient.
- Provide the quality STI and RTI services
- Develop a safe and responsible life style.
