A. The concept of confidentiality refers to the secrecy in maintaining certain information of an individual .Also ensuring that information is not disclosed to anyone in any circumstances for any reason until a written consent is given by the person to disclose their personal information.

In this situation disclosure of the confidential information to the friends and family members can lead to branch of confidentiality and privacy and can lead to legal consequences .

B. The things which can be said to the client to reassure them are

• Inform the personal information like name ,address will not be mentioned anywhere
• Assure that the information will not be disclosed to any of the close relative or any family members even if they ask for on the grounds of confidentiality
• Describe that only the condition will be mentioned from the point of a patient generally not specifying the patient from whom it is collected
• Inform it is for educative purposes and it will be assessed by professionals and ensured the patient confidentiality is protected at all time
• Can provide the written information if the patient is unconvinced or in full doubt .

C. The legislation which one must adhere to in relation to privacy and confidentiality are

• Privacy and confidentiality act (Federal privacy act )
• HIPAA Privacy Act

D. The concept of disclosure is legal in all cases .Only the patient consented information can be shared to other upon written approval or consent from patients .In case if there is a threat the court can legally issue a notice to the healthcare sector to provide the necessary information or the records.

A situation where the information has to be disclosed are

• When there is a threat the client can self injury or injuring others
• If there is a risk of causing grevious social accidents
• Intentionally not ready to disclose any infectious disease to partner
• Reporting infectious disease to the concerned healthcare authority

Workers may be required to disclose information

• If they are undergoing any surgical intervention
• To get appropriate medical treatment
• In case of any accidental injury
