NAT :-
NAT stands for the Network Address Translation.
This is a technique in which the IP address present inside the organization a converted into another IP address such that new IP addresses can reality identity a host inside the organization but outside the organization, it will remain the same.
This technique is mainly done to reduce the overhead of the router to find the specific host inside the organization
When the router routers route the packet from one network to another, then it will be less overhead for the router to route the packet because they differentiate between two networks using network id.
When it comes to inside the organization, it will be more overhead because they cannot distinguish between host based on their network id.
Firewall :-
The concept of firewall has been developed to protect the organization network form the public network i.e internet.
In the internet, they are different types of uses, some may cause harm to the organization by streaming or assessing the organization's private data and disclose to the opposition party.
The firewall prevents such users to access the data.
The firewall uses the set of IP addresses or the Port address which can be allowed to view or modify the organization data.
These addresses are saved in the firewall. When a user's request comes at firewalls, then firewall checks theater that requires have IP or Port address which can view data.
Based on validation, the request may be rejected or accepted.
