professional standards can protect the public and provide plausible basis for speaking truth to power
Professional standards means acting in a way that exemplifies high moral and ethical standards .Professional standards are defined by the professional knowledge ,skill, and behaviour expected of employees
From behavioural aspect ,itensure high standards of ethical behaviour ,for example not letting the stress or pressure of the situation compromise treating people with respect,and always acting in a manner that is positive and constructive.
From the skill perspective,professional standards helps applying knowledge or experence inin the appropriate context ,knowing the limitaton of knowledge and asking for help as needed
they have code of rules,ethics ad conduct that maintains and promote public confidence in the work of the professionals within the organisation,with repercussion if these rules are broken
