Understanding of Social Change:
Social Change is the process of making a difference in the patterns of behaviour and in relationships of people in the society. Example of a major social change is Abolition of Slavery. Enslers and Stanton and Mott's works have deepened my understanding regarding social change and informed my social change vision.
Lucerita Mott , as a social reformer and a feminist activist, she worked for a change in social status of women and found ' Philadelphia Female Antislavery society ' in 1833. She was strong supporter of First Women's rights Convention at Seneca falls ( New York) in 1848. Elizabeth Cady Stanton also joined with Mott and organized this Convention. Mott written the ' Declaration of Sentiments ' and both read out the 'sentiments ' in the convention. The main theme of the meeting is " Men and women are created equally by God". She started an organisation for helping the run - away slaves and made their freedom fight easy. After Mott's death, Stanton continued her efforts for women. Eve Ensler also influenced (me) by her works and writings. She fought for the issue ' Violence against girs and women '. She contributed a lot for women by organizing campaigns, writings in the medias, building shelters for helpless women . She started ' V - day ' movement, for women. V stands for Victory, Valentine and V* gina. She also visited Afghanistan and supported the Afghan women for coming up in society. She got many awards and honours for humanitarian work.
Three of the women Activist Ensler, Mott and Stanton , have influenced my view towards society and stimulated the feelings towards the women and girls, who are still in some bondage, suffering from trafficking and sexual exploitation. Motivated from these great ladies works, many young women can for humanity , especially for suffering women.
