An advertisement is a form of non-personal communication meant to promote a product, service or brand. The advertisement comes in many forms, it can be a television ad, print ad, interactive videos, etc. It is an open communication sponsored, non-personal message to promote a product.
How power is associated with an advertisement.
Power here means power to draw the viewers, power to gain their attention, power of making a customer sit and view the full commercial. The visual complexity of an advertisement plays an important role to capture the target audience. Now Unless an advertisement is not powerful all the work behind it is useless. One of the major functions of an advertisement is to grab the attention of its target audience but if the ad is not having the required power then it's a waste.
The effectiveness of advertisement here is what is its impact. Effectiveness of Advertisement is how well an organization's intention regarding the commercial has been achieved. How successful it has been and whether or not it has appealed to the masses. The measure measurement of advertisement effectiveness is Reach. If the right message reaches the right target set of customers the product lifeline increases and so the sales and profit of a firm.
