Home health care: Home care services are beneficial for people who are looking for part time skilled nurse or help in specialized therapy. Currently home care services has expanded vasty and it includes intravenous antibiotics therapy, oncology therapy, hemodialysis and ventilation care too. Such services are cost effective and beneficial for patients by providing them independency and good quality of life.
Nursing homes: It is designed to provide care for elder people and provide services for 24 hours. Physical therapy is provided for the patient who has undergone surgery or have prolong illness. Speech language therapy and occupational therapy are also included in the services. The services are taken care by licenced nursing staff. It can be costly but most of the elderly people have medical insurance and are covered under medicare and medicaid policies.
Hospice care: It is a type of service to people who are terminally ill and has a life expectancy of six months or less. Here management of pain and symptoms are taken into care. Such services are conducted by trained physician, nurses, social workers and other members who are part of healthcare management system.
Home delivered and congregate meals: Such services are designed for people who cannot prepare their own meals and lack on nutritional level. Such meals are offered to seniors citizens free of charges.
Adult foster care: Here mostly people who have disabilities or developmental problems are provided service for their medical care. It is also referred to as community residential settings. It includes cooking, cleaning, laundry and personal care assistance during outing , bathing, toilet and dressing.
