As the magnet's north pole is moved towards the loop, the magnetic flux linked with the coil increases. To oppose the increase in magnetic flux, the loop induces a current in it to have north polarity. We know that as poles repel. Hence the loop swings away from the magnet.

As the magnet's north pole is moved away from the loop, the magnetic flux linked with the coil decreases. To oppose the decrease in magnetic flux, the loop induces a current in it to have south polarity. We know that unlike poles attract. Hence the loop swings towards the magnet.
