Answer - Clinical manifestation of pneumonia -
High fever
Chills
Productive cough
Chest pain
Hemoptysis
Shortness of breath
Wheezing and Crackel sound
Bluish skin
Fatigue
Loss of appetite
Mood swing
Nausea and vomiting
Nursing intervention such as following -
- Monitor vital sign.
- Identify causative agents which is responsible for pnumonia and start antibiotics therapy as prescribed by physician.
- Administer oxygen therapy as prescribed.
- Administer antipyretic and bronchodilator as prescribed by physician.
- Administer Intravenous fluid which improve hydration and it help to remove respiratory secretions .
- Provide chest physiotherapy exercises and postural drainage every 4 hour as recommended.
- Provide bed rest,it enhence comfort zone and prevent extra load on breathing.
- Instruct Patient to intake light but diet high in calories and intake fluids in diets.
- Recommended the patient for pneumococal vaccine.
- proper follow up physician regularly.
