In the overall comment on James Baldwin' statement or comment that to open your mouth and speak is to confess your parents, your youth, your school, your salary, your self esteem and alas your future.

Here mainly can we agree or disagree, but in his comment we can definitely agree one point of view that English language is significant to communication but his conclusion I unable to agree, why because - when you open your mouth to speak that you : confess your parents,your youth, your school,your salary, your self esteem and alas your future,

- this statement almost seems judgemental and ignorant of cultures,although I disagree with this statement,

- I agree with his statement that it reveals the private identity and connects with or divorces one from the larer, public or communal identity,,

- although your speech reveals a lot about you it certainly doesn't reveal your salary, self esteem or your future,

- language is away communicating and simply that.

- the language I speak at home or the accent I have hasn't ever changed my perspective on language. It simply lets people know which part of the world iam from.
