The Americans with Disabilities Act requires that employers make reasonable accommodations for individuals who have disabilities. How might this requirement affect teachers, law enforcement officers, and firefighters? How is it legal for law enforcement to turn applicants away for diseases like type 2 diabetes?

The law is critical for the decision making process.However the law tends to affect teachers in that they will have to manage double time and work overtime in their careers since they have to cater for both the able and the disabled children.The aspect of the law enforcers is also affected in the perspective during the decision making processes and determination of the courts cases.In this regards then they are affected in that they have to give credible time for the disabled clients to reach within the courts of law before making any decisions in cases involving disabled party.This then calls for the dedication for time and patient which is an aspect that is costly but ethical to achieving justice. Finally,the aspect of the fire fighters have also been challenged to this rule during any operations related to evacuation they will have to commit credible time to assist locomotion of the disabled before they engage in other evacuation processes.This aspect is critical but requires experts for change and effectiveness operations.

The aspect of reasonable accommodations for the disabled should not be extended to manageable ailments such as diabetes.This is clearly based on huge spending by the government but rather should focus on how to facilitate the medical facilties of the patients rather than housing since they can be able to work and grow their economy within the manageable conditions. The aspect of the decent housing by the government to the disabled is an aspect that is critical based on their in capacities to perform and work for the decent and affordable housing.This then ensures that there is balance between the normal life lead by the disabled just like any normal individual.

The Americans with Disabilities Act became law in 1990. The ADA is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public. The purpose of the law is to make sure that people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else.

This Act is vital and important to ensure the fair treatment of potential candidates without prejudice of their disability. Teachers, law enforcement officers and firefighters engage and support the public in a unique way that can be vital to their health and the health and safety of others. Employing a person with a physical limitation may hinder the full scope of duties while not offering safety and protection for the public.
