How would you choose research sources? What factors should be taken into consideration? How can you know your sources are legitimate?
Research source would depend on the type of the research and area of interest. Once the topic of research is selected, a researcher goes to any extent to collect relevent and legitimate sources for making his research succesful. Both qualitative and quantitative data collected through primary and secondary sources are considered to draw the conclusion of a resaerch. Primary sources in research include extensive interviews, questionnaire with open ended or close ended questions, case studies , game and role playing and finally analysis of these data with the help of mean,median, mode, correlation, regression, lab testing etc. Besides secondary sources in the form of books, journals, censuses, govt. information brochure are considered while doing a research.
There are many factors while choosing the appropriate source of research such as time frame within which reliable and legitimate sources to be decided and work on it for the final conclusion of the research, budget, validity of the sources till the research is complete etc.
To find out legitimate sources, researchers always go for sources who has relevence to the present world situation. Considering books, articles, information brochure which were published few years back might draw biased conclusion. Researcher always go for upto date sources for the best result. While taking help from articles or internet, one must opt for credential of the sources as trsuted souces with genuine motive always provide reliable data with referrence from where more information can be obtained.
