1. Do you think The Affordable Care Act has improved the quality of patient care provided?

Ans: Affordable Care Act (ACA) is a comprehensive health care reform law . It was amended by the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act, signed in March 31, 2010. It is also known as ACA, PPACA, or “Obamacare”. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) has been successful in bringing affordable health care to millions of Americans. More than 20 million Americans gained health coverage through the law. ObamaCare is a law that requires compulsory or mandatory insurance – not healthcare. The biggest success of ACA is that it protected consumers from insurance company tactics that might drive up patient costs or restrict care.

Moreover, It has reduced the number of uninsured people to extremely low levels and helped more people access health care services, especially low-income people and people of color.

Let us have an idea about how It has improved the quality of patient care:-

It has provided subsides which are effective in decreasing the cost for households. It has made affordable health insurance available to more people.

It has expanded the Medicaid program to cover all adults with income below 138% of the federal poverty level.

It Supports innovative medical care delivery methods which are less expensive and effective.

2. What additional impacts could the selected policy have on health care?

Ans: Provisions of the ACA are meant to provide insurance coverage, increase consumer insurance protections, emphasize prevention and wellness, improve quality of health and system performance, expand the health workforce development, and curb rising health care costs. All these benefits will reduce mortality, improve mental health, and improve self-reported health status.
