Ans: Affordable Care Act (ACA) is a comprehensive health care reform law . It was amended by the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act, signed in March 31, 2010. It is also known as ACA, PPACA, or “Obamacare”. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) has been successful in bringing affordable health care to millions of Americans. More than 20 million Americans gained health coverage through the law. ObamaCare is a law that requires compulsory or mandatory insurance – not healthcare. The biggest success of ACA is that it protected consumers from insurance company tactics that might drive up patient costs or restrict care.
Moreover, It has reduced the number of uninsured people to extremely low levels and helped more people access health care services, especially low-income people and people of color.
