Amazon workers have intense pressure of warehouse packaging.IT has given very short breaks and does not provide bathroom breaks. and it also faces many problems like onine shopping , etc.. in online shoppings amazon has a various issues as the employees may not give a fast delivary to the product

Amazon is a newage online retailer is one of the top three most valued brands, after google and apple. For a company which started in a garage in 1994 , to reach a valuation of above 200 billion dollars in 2018 is no mean feat.Amazon

People will die to work for such a high growth company. But to keep upto this high growth rate, not only is internet connectivity the sole reason, prople who are the backbone of any company play a vital role.

Though most employees have given a positive review, there have been many cases where people have reported lack of work life balance. Employees have to work on an average 12 to13 hours per day for 15 -16 days in a month. These hours normally rise according to changes in seasonal demands. People famously complain, its a great place to work but at the cost of your personal life.

Job overload is a major problem faced by warehousing employees and people working in software development. Ehst with the amazon warehouses seeing constant action and movement of products the employees get hardly any time for breather. Overtimes are not incidental but a regular norm.

These problems impact the pschye of the employees and gradually their working capabilities. Amazon has taken a few steps like:

1) Increase the minimum wage pay to $15 per hour. This will be a motivating factor for the employees. It will also help to retain existing talent and attract new employees.

2) Freedom to work from home : Though this freedom is not possible for all catagories of workers, this freedom to work from home has a positive impact on the employees. This is mostly utilised by people with kids and families and it takes them in a happy space to manage their house as well as jobs.

3) Amazon should thonk of changing from a low employee retention policy to a high employee retention policy.

Though customer satisfaction scores high with amazon bit it is achieved at the cost of high employee turnover. With the company loosing talent, it should shift gears to a more employee friendly human resource policy.

With more than 75% workers in Amazon feeling exploited, amazon has no optoon but to take due notice of its existing HR policies and change them for better.

Though Amazon fullfillment centers aim to tackle employee provlems nore needs to be done with them. The stress the employees face for leave in case of sickness resulting in loss of job shows how this retail behemoth has undone its employees.

For the longterm sustainable growth, amazon needs to chalk out a firm plan to put internal customers in the forefront alongwith the external customers. Only if both the customers are satisfied and happy will Amazon be able to maintain its growth trajectory.
